Black cats kick fucking ass!

Is fluffy more likely to flop on her side, wanting you to stretch her front legs out, like an upside-down superman? The only pictures I've seen of cats like this are of big fat fluffies. My maine coon is like that.

I think stretching out and exposing her belly has more to do with the long coat and high temperatures than girth. She only does it in the summer, and preferably where she can get a cross breeze through her belly down. She wouldn't appreciate anyone pulling on her legs although she is partial to having her tail pulled.

All cats flump, especially upon warm surfaces. There is a coal bunker in my back garden: cold dust spreads out over the concrete path before it and warms up under sunlight. My cat loves rolling around and flumping in the soot.

Blacky appeared to be moulting pretty well in last weeks photos - I recall various splotches of white skin. Not so much fluffy, maybe because only the equivalent of a full on shear would have any cooling effect?

sir,

is it too much to request that the feline genus remain out of bounds in regards to the parochialisms of our species? a true gentlemen acquits himself with grace toward all the gods' creatures....

I recall various splotches of white skin.

He does lose hair on his underside in the summer, probably an allergy. But all the bare skin now is from a fight where he came home with a cat claw sheath sticking out from between his eyes and sawblade-spaced gashes all up his belly. His favorite emergency vets shaved him.

shit... there are territorial issues in your area? the few cats in my area have complex routines when wandering outside - specific paths they follow - which ensure they don't cross ways. but it did take a bit of conflict to reach that equilibrium.

Every summer we shear a decent size patch along the length of our Maine Coon's belly to help him cool off. He's very grateful.
