Atheist vs. Attend Religious Services Once a Week  permlink

A comment:

In Canada, places in the far west like Alberta and British Columbia contain a higher percentage of atheists and other non-religious, but also a higher percentage of evangelical Christians.

This is true in the USA to some extent...but I didn't want to compare to "evangelical Christians" because the relatively low proportions of evangelicals in the Mountain West and the Northeast are historical artifacts due to their particular religious demography. So I used the same methodology as earlier and plotted the proportion of atheists vs. those who attend religious services at least once a week.

I want everyone to know that I've worked hard for decades to bring Connecticut into the world of reality over mythology. Good to see its worked.

Attending a religious service every week and being an atheist are not mutually exclusive.

And Rob, there are rational people who are not atheists. Religion isn't the problem, it's the people who use religion to gain power over others who are the problem.

thanks,
I think religion is the main problem. It can be use like a ak47 rifle. The problem is on it, not on the user. You never can use it as a toothpick. So I think problem is on religion.

I would like to see if the number of people who are both atheist and attend church once a week correlate with the overall numbers of attend church once a week. That is, in states with high church attendance, if there are more atheists who also attend church than don't. I highly suspect that would be the case.

That is a shame you deleted my comment. If someone can post a link to agnisetu where he states "AN INCREDIBLE TESTIMONY PROVING THE BIBLE IS TRUE" I thought I could post my comment to his site that I would rather learn from science and believe in reality.

It is not much of a blog and forum if you are picking and choosing your answers.
