Ah, but have price changes translated into consumption or supply changes? In fact, fruit and vegetable consumption has gone up, butter and beer are down. Probably the only thing that's up while price is down is soda.

What's with the variability of butter prices since '99?
Butter is very healthful it messes up your trend line.
I am interested in the trend line on margarine which is terrible processed crap.
And yet, unhealthy food is still subsidized. Sigh...
The wider availablility of organic produce must have allowed for increased profit margins on "inorganic" produce...
