The Where on Google Earth? competition has been going on for almost two years now, wandering the geoblogosphere from winner to winner. During that time, we've covered all 7 continents and a whole buncha islands, but we've revealed one great big bias. We're landlubbers.
I've managed to find one again - for the first time since I moved to ScienceBlogs! - and I think it's time to start correcting this historical inequity.
For new players, here's the game: Open up Google Earth and try to find the patch of Earth pictured here. Be the first to post its coordinates, and describe the geology as best you can, and you win! Winner hosts the next round.
For old players: I'm invoking the Schott Rule. Wait one hour for each previous win before answering this one... unless you buy your way out of the rule by giving $5 or more to DonorsChoose! In that case, you may post your solution as soon as you have donated.

And, for non-geos out there, it is a mid-ocean ridge spreading center, and for the timer bypass, there's no confirmation number or anything, but the project was The Magic Of Rocks, Minerals And Crystals!

Oh, and there is a weak hot spot in western victoria, so the lack of transverse faulting could be due to slight heating, similar to the MAR south of Iceland.

Sorry I didn't check back, everyone - I didn't realize I had won! Also, now I know not to use the degree symbol in comments.
I do have a very new blog that has some science on it (though also politics and stuff), so I can host it. Apologies that the blog is not yet prettified. Hopefully after my defense I will make it nicer!
