Nice job.

If the ice chunk was moving at cometary speed (30 km/s), then almost certainly it would be native to the solar system. A rogue from interstellar space -- this nitwit's claim -- would have hyperbolic velocity with respect to the Sun, with no real limit on the 'excess' (hyperbolic minus parabolic), and so would be considerably more energetic than the analysis given.
