Everybody needs to do this: Learn the Greek Alphabet

Category: Technology

Also, know how to pronounce "primer" properly....

Hint: Skip ahead to minute two.

Omega looks like something I once saw on a button on a toilet in Japan.

As a Classics professor who teaches classical Greek and Latin, thank you!

This is painful to listen to! I learned the Greek alphabet from a Greek. The pronunciations are utterly different.

Besides, my teacher was gorgeous, and with a voice like honey...

ack! Had to stop before minute 4...

Yeah everyone SHOULD learn the American pronunciations, but the Greek pronunciations really are spectacularly different!

For example "beta" is more like "veeta" when pronounced correctly! "Pi" is "pee". And "delta" is more like "thelta", but the th is soft.

Still this is useful for people doing math and science, not people learning greek :)
