Washington Killer Was a Good Christian

Category: Religion
Posted on: December 28, 2007 11:00 PM, by Greg Laden

After slaughtering their parents before their eyes, Joseph McEnroe apologized to his girlfriend's young niece and nephew before shooting both point-blank in the head...

Joe was a home boy here in the Twin Cities. According to the Star Tribune, the killer's mom tells us "her eldest son was a "good Christian" and she was shocked he had been arrested in the slayings."

McEnroe... and Anderson,... armed themselves on Christmas Eve and went to her [Anderson's] parent's home near Carnation, about 25 miles east of Seattle.

...they confronted Anderson's parents... in their living room.

Michele Anderson told detectives her brother, a carpenter, had failed to pay her back money he borrowed years earlier and she was upset with her parents for failing to side with her ... [and] her parents were pressuring her to start paying rent for staying in the trailer on their property.

So, naturally, they killed them all. Including the toddlers. Then, when Anderson's brouther and his wife, and their two little kids arrived less then an hour later, they brutally murdered all of them as well. One thing leads to another.

(you can read the entire gruesome story here.)

A "Good Christian"??? There are no words....this is just an assinine thing to say! "Christian" means Christ-like. Oh, sure... (insert sarcasm)... this is just the way that Jesus would "suffer the little children". And the prosecutor is "pondering" whether or not to pursue the death penalty???? What's to ponder?

BD: what's to ponder about the death penalty? Alot. A whole lot.Like the fact that the State of Texas is responsible for 60% of Capital case punishments. Texas, a fundamentalist Christian state living by the 'eye for an eye', rather than overthrowing their outdated notions of state controlled, ritualized homicide--aka--the death penalty.
That is a start...
