I’m reminded of my friend Dan. He was one of 23 kids (or some such number). He was maybe fourth or fifth. He tells of sitting around in the living room as a kid, with a half dozen or so siblings, watching TV. His mom and dad come home with a new baby.
“Oh, kids, we have a new baby.”
“OK, Mom” (slightly annoyed…she’s inturrupting a good show…)
… parents trudging up stairs …
“Hey Mom, is it a boy or a girl…”
“Ah, let me check…”
Anyway, we have a New Scienceblogs.com Science Blogger, and it’s a girl!
Maria Brumm studies ground water in tectonically active settings, and blogs from here.
And, of course, the first thing she does is rag on me. I’m going to have to go over there and kick her ass.
