I’m trying to get my company to do the same thing – use Linux for test boxes for servers (especially if in production they’ll be running on a Linux box) and for “demo laptops” which even if the program being shown is a windows program, we can run remote desktop on Linux to a windows desktop to show the program that way. thus, we can have demo laptops permanently stationed in each of the conference rooms and not have to scrounge for “who’s got a laptop we can use this week” which is our current hassle.
