All The News that's Bla Bla Bla

Category: Blogospherics

And now, for a true blog post. Let's see, I skipped breakfast, but for dinner I made a nice pesto and angle hair with srhimp .... The water sprinkler broke, much to my annoyance, just when I went to water the lawn.... and .... I got some interesting email but I mostly deleted it... and ...

Oh, right ... this is, of course, the opening of the Fourth Indiana Jones Movie. This will be the first time I've not made an opening for an Indiana Jones Movie (my medical condition prevents me from going just now). But maybe Saturday or Sunday, if we can find a movie theater near a good fishing hole....

Amanda has been taking an advanced graduate course on muscles at The U, taught by the 15 or so top muscle researchers around here. And this is where they made a heart (which is mostly muscle) from scratch a few months ago. So, its like "So, students, here is everything I know about this one system .... bla bla bla bla bla... and at this point, well, nobody knows what happens next. Yet. But it may be on the exam."

Anyway, I am very proud to announce that she got an A!

Coming soon, Stephanie Z took up the challenge I issued some time ago to test the assertion that certain blogs, such as Pharyngula, do not post much science compared to other blogs, like Tetrapod Zoology. Stephanie has completed a detailed analysis and the results are very interesting. She will guest blog her results right here, as soon as we get some of the graphics fixed up nice.

Head of the Minnesota Atheists Society, August Berkshire, will be the guest on the "Jeff and Lee" show on KKMS, Christian talk radio, AM 980 or stream live at http://www.kkms.com. Congratulations to Amanda!

And aren't you done being sick yet? Lingering illness is very dull, you know--at least when it stops being scary.

Well, it kinda went away and came back in a different form. The good news is that the medication for this version is somewhat narcotic.

(Did I say that out loud?)

It's a powerful video, and illustrates the problems with the media, no doubt.

Truth to tell, Hillary Clinton is not my first choice and never has been. That being said, when faced with two choices, should Clinton be the nominee, I will work for her campaign. When it comes down to two people, I think it's irresponsible to sit back and not vote if your candidate is not on the ballot.

I've got a friend who says "I'm a man without a candidate." He doesn't like any of the three remaining White House Idols. Sure, my fave dropped out in February, but still...
