Evolution 2008, the conference, starts Friday here in the Twin Cities. I’m going to it, obviously. In fact, you may be seeing a bit less of me since I have an around the clock schedule for the next several days (with the conference as part of that) so my usual early morning blogging will be impossible (and that’s most of my blogging, frankly).

On the other hand, I’ll be blogging about the conference when I can. In fact, feel free to have a look at the program and suggest talks that you might like to hear about, and I’ll see what I can do.

If you are coming to the conference let me know, perhaps we can get a meet up going.

Although I’m not listed in the program (I think I’m not, anyway) I have a small part to play: I’ll be moderator for the Education Symposium on Sunday. (Fellow blogger PZ Myers will be one of the speakers in that symposium).

I set up this Facebook event several weeks ago, so far only one person has accepted the invitation. I probably won’t be able to make it, myself because of my schedule with the kids. Also having continued problems with transportation.

Charlie Fest 2008, timed to closely celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Presentation to the Linnean Society.

I was thinking I’d wander over for the public lecture, since Ben has a photo shoot that afternoon with a hot young thing where I’m very much not needed. And I think you should really live blog the open mic Saturday night. 🙂
