Artificial sweeteners are bad. Right? If you agree, or not, go to the new Reader's Poll and express your opinion. Or not.

blech. Can. not. stand.

It used to be that whenever I baked apple pies, I'd always bake one with Splenda for my Aunt Helen (who was diabetic), and I got pretty good at masking the taste. But I never managed to be able to do that with anything but the apple pies.

She went to California last summer though, so now it's sort of moot point for me.

Better the taste, Janie, than the headaches from corn syrup if I want to drink something sweet. Of course, most people don't have to choose. And really, the best option is stocking up during Passover or taking a road trip to Canada. Just don't tell the Customs agent you're there to pick up Coke.

I'm not a big sweets person (uh. except really good chocolate) generally, and I drink little pop. But I do do the Dew from time to time, and I can't imagine what it would be like to not be able to when I wanted.

I'll keep your advice in mind regarding the Customs Agents (that cracked me up), though Canada is a teeny bit of a drive for me, should I need to make it.

How soft is your couch? (For future reference...)

:)

Janie, which one? We're in a big old house near the airport. We can put up nine people pretty, uh, conventionally, although I think five is the historical max.

So if you really think your preferred route to Canada is a diagonal, you can have your choice. :)
