Ruin this poll on abortion

UPDATE: This one too.

Look at cute pictures of cute birds and cute mammals and shit.

Read this unbelievable post at Larry Moran's site about a professor who sued her students for being unenlightened. Which would be cool if they really were, but is totally uncool because clearly it is she, the professor, who is, well, let's just say someone you would not want on your team if you were a liberal. But I don't want to say anything specific or the screeching bitch might sue me. (Did I say that out loud? ... The TRUTH is, I'm only kidding of course. Which only counts if you believe in reality. OK, Just stay away from me, OK? .... )

Greg, do you know Steve Maxson, DNR bird guy out of Bemidji until a couple years ago and a really good bird photographer?

Add reading this article to your list, Greg, from the NY Times:

Philadelphia Set to Honor Darwin and Evolution

By JON HURDLE Published: June 23, 2008

PHILADELPHIA — In the long-running culture war between evolution and creationism, Philadelphia is firing the latest shot.

Nine academic, scientific and cultural institutions around the city are holding a Year of Evolution, a series of exhibitions, seminars and lectures to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin next February, and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his seminal work, "The Origin of Species."

Events will include a talk by John E. Jones III, a federal judge who ruled in 2005 that teaching intelligent design — the belief that some aspects of nature are so complex that they must be the work of a higher power rather than of evolution — in public school science classes was unconstitutional.

I occurred to me while looking at pretty bird pictures that the world could very easily be that small. He's my uncle, and you'll notice a certain similarity in our first names that is not accidental.
