A few items that will be of interest to you.

First, Erik Hoffner has posted an interview with Randy Olson at The Grist. To be honest, I have not read it yet, but I’ve been expecting it … Erik has priority for this posting, and now that his interview is up, I can post my interview with Olson. Look for that in a couple of hours!

A VERY SPECIAL I and the Bird Weblog Carnival is up at 10,000 birds. This is, amazingly enough, the THIRD anniversary of I and the BIrd. (Is the internet even that old??). You must go and check it out. And if you have not seen 10K bird’s newly designed web site, you will be impressed.

Stephanie of Almost Diamonds has pointed me to this very pointed discussion of race and racism in language (and emails and other places): Uncool, man. Just uncool.

There is a hopefully very positive discussion going on about how to Save the Planet at the new blog on energy alternatives. Check it out: Electric Vehicles: The Next Generation

One of the interesting things not to miss in the “uncool” discussion (which has swarmed its corner of the blogosphere over the last day) is how people who would express shock and dismay at being called “privileged” are very clearly trying to define and defend privileged spaces for racist and sexist speech.
