Rebecca Otto has done a great job on helping Al's campaign, and a great job as auditor. For my money, auditor is the second most important job in Minnesota.

Frankly, I'm getting a little bit bummed about Franken. He really just hasn't been impressing me. For a satirist, he seems rather slow-witted a lot of the time, and I'm annoyed about his apologies over his past career (of course, I'm also annoyed at the wrist-wrigging Democrats that are going to make us loose if they keep bringing it up, Betty McCollum). I kinda wish we had done Nelson-Pallmeyer. I think he actually had a better shot.

So is he totally divorcing his comedic roles from his campaign?

... because
"AL FRANKEN: HE'S GOOD ENOUGH, SMART ENOUGH, AND DOGGONIT, PEOPLE LIKE HIM" would make one heck of a bumper sticker or T-shirt.

I think that Al is trying really hard to not be his old self and that is hurting him. Dofggonit, people liked him then, and they'll like him now.

i just can't get behind franken. i wasn't thrilled with him to begin with, but that apology really turned me off. i may end up voting for him anyway...we'll see who runs on the other party tickets.
