I’m watching the sports. I don’t give a fig for the government or the weepy story or the day NBC foists on us. Hey I got to see fencing.
I heard about the computer animated footprints but have no idea what they looked like. I didn’t see the girl in question nor anything else of the opening ceremonies. Odd thing is, I’m not boycotting anything. Well, not quite true, but I’m not boycotting the Olympics. Not many people know that here in Salt Lake City, Mitt Romney was animatronic when he appeared “live” and was a CGI effect the rest of the time. His hair is still computer generated. Here in Utah instead of occupying a land like Tibet, we have reservations for native Americans who we ensure stay in abject poverty. Instead of big environmental disasters like the Three Gorges Dam, we’re pushing to use huge quanties of water to despoil vast tracks of land to develop oil shale (so we can have more carbon fuel to burn). Our smog isn’t Beijing grade, but we have a bioweapons test range and a nuclear waste dump a few miles to the west of our lovely valley.
Yep, I have no idea why the Salt Lake City 2002 winter games weren’t boycotted. Maybe next time in addition to snowboarding we can have a US waterboarding demonstration team!
The sad part is that using lip synching and discriminating against someone for her looks is just the sort of thing that network television has been doing for years. Do we condemn the Chinese for deceit or congratulate them for being fast learners?

Meh, I haven’t been watching much Olympics anyway, sport isn’t my think. However, I’m not surprised, China takes their opening ceremonies pretty seriously…
I consider that the Olympics are a large waste of time and money, but among the more harmless of religions.
Enough about the Olympics. Tell us about something interesting, like giant inflatable dog poo.
