How does one go about hosting one of these carnivals? I've emailed PZ and Orac about hosting Tangled Bank and Skeptics' Circle, but neither responded. I guess I'm just not cool enough. But is there something I can do to become cool enough?

John, in my case it was coming across one that needed a host for their next edition. I'm just guessing, but it probably doesn't hurt to have a little more history under your belt either. As good a job as you do, your blog is still new. If they have volunteers with more of a track record, they may feel they can worry less about issues being lost down the road to blog burnout.
