Jake, let's not give her any more credit than necessary. Alaska is the 47th most populated state or 4th least populated.

John McCain is no longer talking to Campbell!

Posted by: Analiese | September 2, 2008 11:42 PM

Seriously, he's not talking to CNN any more (because of what happened in this clip.) I hope the Obama campaign remembers this in the case that McCain's ability to handle conflict ever comes into play during the debates - i don't know, would that be an important quality for a president? Temperament, anyone?

Ana, I think this is what the Democrats are counting on, hoping for, looking for. A full blown McCain Meltdown on TV.

Damn, I'm teaching tonight ... no RNC for me.

I recently read about a substantial shift in the white woman vote from Obama/Biden to Mcain/Palin. This shift is being attributed to Palin's addition to the ticket. So much for women being knowledgeable voters. Palin is a freakshow.
Go Obamba-Biden

Ray, source? I haven't seen anything like that.

Posted by: Stephanie Z | September 9, 2008 6:45 PM

I don't know about Ray's data, but I believe that there is a contingency of conservative white women who feel the social pressures to be liberal/democrats but don't really want to be. These are the "security moms" in part. Even women, who are generally smarter than men, have a low end to their distribution in terms of education and intelligence, and that is where you may see a shift towards the Hockey Mom Ticket. But not a large one.
