For real? Oil is now too cheap to justify opening additional fields. Oh, and hybrid sales are going to tank.
Alan, even with the economy in the tank the oil price is only about where it was in August of 2005.
As someone who studies human evolution, I am always being asked “what was the reason humans developed this massive highly intelligent brain.” My answer is always the same:

You know it would be interesting to create a chart of oil barrel prices v. pump prices and see exactly what the pump price was at each time the barrel price was where it is now (close to $60/bbl last I heard).
Of course we all know that the price of gas isn’t tied to the price of oil, but to how far you’re prepared to drive before you settle for the posted price at the next gas station!
I never call myself a feminist and yet I can’t help but notice that no one would’ve done this if Palin had happened to be a good-looking brainless MAN instead of a good-looking brainless WOMAN.
