    I’m getting a little confused about this ‘democracy’ concept. You hold a big contest, and whoever can call his opponent the worst insults is the one who gets office–is that it?

    Water: Actually, the negative campaign technique of Coleman has not helped him that much. It is hard to understand why they are returning to this technique recently.

    Franken is not running negative campaign adds. Just truthful ones. His opponent, Norm Coleman, just happens to be a very negative guy. It is hard to find something not negative to say about him that is not a lie.
