Was there a lighter side to the RNC? My favorite photos of the event are the riot police in front of Mickey's Diner.

What's stunning about Ana's pictures is how scary the "anarchists" look. I mean, they mill about instead of standing in controlled lines. They're carrying...signs! They're demanding peace!

I'm still trying to explain all the arrests without resorting to the word "wussies," but lately I wonder why I bother.
