Sarah palin believes that she should be president and she believes that the constitutional powers of the VP should be expanded. She has spent weeks accusing Barack Obama of being a terrorist. And so on. What she deserves is much, much worse than this. She is a dangerous and offensive person and deserves to have her career in politics summarily ended. The loss in this eleciton would certainly hurt her career. If the loss can be pinned on her that would do it. This could be the event that puts that argument into the win column.
As I write this, MSNBC is spending yet another ten minutes or so lampooning Palin (and to some extent McCain).
There was cartoon in a local paper a couple of days ago, it showed Palin with a gun, a rather horrified looking McCain and a big dead republican elephant. The caption as "at least I can field-dress it". I think it is coming true. I also think that Palin as the demise of the current republican party is appropriate, as she personifies the divisive, racist, extreme and ignorant direction they have chosen to go in. I hope something better rises from the ashes.
In the meantime sympathy for Palin about this is wasted, she will not even realize what an idiot she made of herself, in fact she probably thought she did OK.
