Bad Talking Ads!!!!

Category: AtheismBloggingReligion

Have you seen the latest iPod ad, on this site, that tells you you've won an iPhone?

Got a problem with ads speak when not spoken to?

The Blog Herders are aware and presumably doing something about it, but a nice public outcry is always helpful.

I realize it doesn't do any good for ScienceBlogs bottom line, but if I didn't have Firefox with Adblock Plus I wouldn't be cruising the net at all. I don't watch TV, I don't listen to any commercial radio stations, I'm on the do not call lists, all junk mail goes straight into the trash, and I don't want to see or hear ads on the Internet either.

The funny thing is (imho) that such ads do quite a lot of harm in the long term. Quite some people will install an ad-blocker as a reaction to ads like this, also blocking other less intrusive ads.

This fills my cold Marxist heart with joy. :D

While cruising evil atheist blogs at work earlier today,I read about the Iphone ads...But neither at work(on IE 6)nor now at home on FF3 have I actually seen that ad.
What I am doing wrong?? I want to win an Iphone too !!
