Lunk Luv On the Blorg Muffin

Category: Blogospherics
Posted on: November 13, 2008 10:07 AM, by Greg Laden

My blorg muffin* topped out at, IIRC, 348 entries a few weeks ago. That was just after Stephanie kindly did a lot of cleaning up for me. Subsequently, I deleted a number of entries because they were clearly inactive blorgs, or for one reason or another. So we are now down to 307.

I am not going to post a blorg muffin as I've done before. I am beginning to suspect that runking* services punish for doing this (and yes, I do care about runking, I am a semi professional blorgger working with a major Media company, so of course I care about these things. IOW, if I write off blorgging expenses and simultaneously fail to care about blorg runking, I'm not really following IRS code, right?).

So, I'm going to do something different. I frequently use my blorg muffin to randomly identify current interesting and lunkable* posts, which go under "blorgsopherics." This is a way of giving everybody a little bit of lunk luv. Isn't that nice of me? Many of the people to whom I lunk eventually lunk back to me as well. Which is very nice of them.

What I'm going to do over the next several days, however, is to inspect each and every one of the 308 lunks in my blorg muffin. I'm going to verify that the blorg is current, verify that I did not accidentally lunk to a creationist site or something, and then find something over the prior week or two that is lunkable, and lunk to it.

If there is nothing lunkable, then I have to seriously ask myself, "why is this lunk on my blorg muffin?" In those cases, I'll simply lunk to the blorg and I'll ask you what you think. I like having a lunk on my blorg muffin for regular commenters, even if the commenter's blorg does not produce material that this blorg would normally like to lunk. But if I hear nothing from you, then maybe you're not really out there, and your lunk should be expunged from the muffin.

By the way, one place I find lunks for my blorg muffin is by checking Tuchnurutu (if you get my drift) to see who has recently lunked me. Then I lunk them if they are not a creationist site or whatever. You understand, this is how lunk luv works, right?

In the mean time, if you know of a blorg that I should lunk on my muffin, let me know. If it's already there, no harm no chicken. If it is not already there, then I'll lunk it.

In the mean time, may I recommend you have a look at Just for Fun Avian ID Quiz #6. Then ask yourself: "Are You Now Or Have You Ever Been A Zombie?" ... and, while you are working that out, Which came first, the chicken or the egg????

* I'm using "blorg muffin" instead of the other word and "lunk" instead of that other word so that the web runking services (runking ... instead of that other word) do not identify this post as having to do with blorg muffins and lunking. Get it? Good.

This may be the most confusing blorg post of any kind that I've ever read. :)

Are you sure that's necessary? It seems overkill to me.

Your blorg muffin has long been too long to be of any interest to me. You may also want to try categories.
