Texas School Board Creationist Goes Wacko

Posted on: November 14, 2008 6:10 PM, by Greg Laden

... which should not be a huge surprise. Here are a few quotes from the recently published ... then hastily removed ... column of Cynthia Dunbar, who is a member of the Texas State Board of Education. Yes, she's one of the creationists:

Can we truly even imagine an America under an Obama Administration? I sincerely believe that an Obama Administration would ultimately mean one thing...the end of America as we know her.... [some babbling about Obama not really being a citizen] ...

I perceive it [terrorist attack on U.S. soil in first six months of Obama Presidency] will be a planned effort by those with whom Obama truly sympathizes to take down the America that is threat to tyranny. What nobody seems to be discussing is the fact that if such an attack takes place, what about Martial Law? What happens to expand executive power when a state of civil disorder is declared?

The column was originally posted on the Christian Worldview Network but was quickly pulled once the publishers realized how OTT Mz Dunbar, or as we call her The Wacko, really is. Fortunately, the column was preserved here, on the blog Just Orb. Thank you Orb.

I'm always amused that righties get upset when their comments get publicized. You would think they would be happy about it.

Cynthia Dunbar, Esq., it turns out, is a graduate of that wonderful 4th tier Regent University School of Law, the Pat Robertson school that gave us Monica Goodling and all those other wonderful legal minds scattered throughout the Bush Administration.

Why am I not surprised?
