Basement Kitteh and The Water Bill

Pampam and Jason kept getting huge water bills. They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren't representative of their actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued. Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems: the water meter, outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc., all to no avail.

One day Jason stayed home to do his work, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally got up to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of the bills. Apparently this was happening all day long while Pampam was sleeping and Jason was at work.

That's one reason to always leave the lid down.

Lid down, evaporation is minimized, and it is protection against anything accidentally falling in.

Basement kitteh is no stopping for teh liddes. Must haz teh swerliies!

This tragic waste of water would not have happened if these people were in the habit of putting the lid to the toilet down. If the cat was not able to see the water flowing flushing the toilet would be much less interesting.

Well, understand it takes a lot of flushes to catch a fish.

Is kitteh trying to get rid of a floater?

ewwww.

The real trick is getting the cat to use the toilet and then flush.

Isn't that some kind of rat terrier? I wonder if it would have the same reaction (but less wet) if the toilet had no water in it. I bet it would. I bet this dog digs holes in the back yard.

I had a cat named "Zeke" who would get irritated if he thought that I was reading too much. He would jump up and turn the light switch off.

Perhaps he was trying to save on the electricity bill...

Nope. You were just winning the "who can ignore the other the longest" game
