Michele Bachmann for Governor?

Posted on: December 3, 2008 9:55 AM, by Greg Laden

There is increasing evidence, or at least informed conjecture, that there will be a redistricting in Minnesota leading to the vaporization of a congressional district. If this happens, even if the Republicans are in charge for that process, there is a reasonable chance that Michel Bachmann ... loved by the undermenchen masses of her white trashy sixth district, but perceived liability for the ubermenchen Republican Big Chiefs ... will be squeezed out of the House of Representatives like so much peppermint flavored goo from a sample-size tube of toothpaste.

But the undermenchen are known to vote their people into power in the North Star State.

I wonder if this is going to be a trend across the fifty states. First Palin, then Bachmann. Any of you other states got a runnable fundie hockeymom with lipstick?

My sources: here and here.

Hi Greg,
As a 50 year resident of the state of Alaska, I'd like to make a formal apology on behalf of the state for foisting this incredibly embarrassing woman on the rest of the country. It was bad enough when as governor, she was just our own dirty little secret. And now she thinks she is somebody. What have we unleashed on this country? This feels like a cross between a sitcom and a horror movie. Maybe The Brady Bunch and Alien?

If it weren't for the fact that the vast majority of people here are Bible thumping, Wal-Mart Republicans, Alaska would be a truly great place to live.
