This afternoon, I will be busy meeting with colleagues about the upcoming Darwin Day Celebration at the Bell Museum, and preparing for this Sunday Morning's radio show (Am 950, Air America, Atheist Talk Radio).

Greg, PZ, other folks in Minnesota and the greater Minnesota homeland (Wisconsin, Iowa, Dakotas & Canada), I hope y'all enjoy Darwin & Lincoln's 200th birthday, definitely a time to reflect on what it means to be human, with or without the fictional/convenient (racial, religious, national, cultural) elements that both bring together and separate humans, in ways parallel to, yet uniquely different from our hominoid and anthropoid kin. Your mom: Normally, I have people who deal with the trolls but I'll answer you this briefly: I post between six and 12 fully scientific non political pieces a week on this blog, and several of those per month are on peer reviewed embargoed research, and a fair number in scientific areas in which I'm an expert (as opposed to a journalist or blogger). That makes this a science blog.
This is also a political blog, and a damn good one! And it is a few other things.
You need to make an adjustment in your attitude about how the world works, mom.
(You don't think she's really my mom, do you?????)

So a blog written by a scientist on mainly scientific issues can't also be political? Shall we leave politics to the morons who don't actually know stuff then? I'll bet our Mommy Trollests must have loved the last American presidential administration then.
I dipped into the discussion on race, but David Marjanović and I dealt with a few race realists a few weeks back on Pharyngula, and I don't have the stomach to get into it again. Plus, you and a few others seem to have it well under control. But man, PZ's place certainly is a bloodbath by comparison. I'll try to keep my canines hidden and my talons sheathed when I visit here.
I wanted to congratulation you on a great interview on Q Transmissions and apologise if my final comment when I called in made it seem like I misunderstood your response: I have a cold, and I couldn't hear you all that well through the phone.
Anyways, great job!
