I currently use opensuse, but I'm increasingly disappointed with it (installing new software only to have it segfault; installing easytag, only to have it take over the 'places->home' entry in gnome. (Yes, I want to manage all of my files as playlists. Sheesh.) Not to mention that hardware 3d has never worked, no how many times I follow their freaking instructions.) so I'm slowly moving to Ubuntu. Ideally, I'd like to share a home directory between the two distros until I'm sure that my wife's stuff works ok, but I'm not sure that's possible with my skills.
End of rant. Sorry.
