Do Not Adjust Your Browsing Software....

Category: Blogging
Posted on: July 21, 2009 5:54 PM, by Greg Laden

It's happening!!! At 7:00 PM eastern time Science Blogs Dot Com bloggers who have gotten the memo will STOP BLOGGING and about one hour later the Scienceblogs.com system will be placed on life support for a Major Operation.

During this time you will be able to read the blog, but at some point commenting will stop working.

(You might as well go over to Quiche Moraine and catch up on the great stuff we have been posting there!)

Later, at an undetermined time (figure some time during the wee hours of the morning?) commenting capacities will resume as the blog is brought back to consciousness. As it were.

When the blog comes back on, all those annoying timeouts and other issues that you, dear reader, see when you try to comment (and that we bloggers also encounter when posting and so on) will be fixed. Everything will work fine. The operation of the Science Blog back end and commenting system will become veritably crispy, if not downright snappy.

Nothing can go wrong. .....

go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong...
