Mac users are humble

There is a bit of a fine line between being proud of "being right" and being a snob. In the Linux vs Mac vs PC thing, I think it can be gauged by one's reaction to other people's reasons for using a different OS.

Windows users who use Windows out of ignorance can be looked down upon without really being a snob (you really are right).
There are some understandable reasons to use Windows (most are annoying stupid reasons you personally can't do anything about). A lot of die-hard Windows users are just ignorant though.

It is a bit like religion... how many people who actually think Windows is great were effectively born into it?

You know, which OS is like which religion would make a great pointless time sink of a tread ;)

I think that the correlation between snobs and Mac users might be the same as the one between disposable income and Mac users. My linux machine costs between 1/4 to 1/6th of the equivalent Mac. Explains it all. Some people buy expensive stuff because it is expensive.

I bought a Mac because it was the best way to get a dual quad-core xeon system with space for 32GB of RAM and 4 TB of hard drive.
