Build a Binary marble adding machine
Amazing Folded Paper Art
Yet Another Cell Size and Scale Demonstratomatic Machine
The first one reminds of something I did with dominos a few years ago working out how to make logic gates with each domino type. It is easy to make an OR gate. The tricky thing is making a NOT gate and if you have those and a signal-crosser (which isn’t too hard) you can make any logic gate. Unfortunately, unlike a marble machine they require almost complete rebuilding after one use.
The marble binary thing reminds me of a game I had in my youth – the Amazing Dr. Nim. It was a rather garish red, all plastic, with flippers similar to the ones in the post you gave.
