Seeing auras, generally, is a sign that there's something wrong with your brain. If they're not seeking professional help, to find out whether there's something seriously wrong, and if their parents are encouraging them to "explore" this condition, they could be ignoring potentially life-threatening conditions.

It's also a warning sign of a migraine coming on. Of course, a migraine is essentially 24 hour encephalitis, so "something wrong with your brain" is still the right description.

Not sure where this thread is going, but if you are interested in learning some cool stuff about auras and body energy, check out this book I just read, Annie's Gift by Holden Herbert.

It is a novel, but has all kinds of info about Auras and psychic energy. Cool and fun, even a sense of humor.
