« Improv Everywhere at Home Depot | Main | Huxley Laden Baby Picture »

Huxley D. Laden, 7 lbs 11 oz

Posted on: November 26, 2009 4:06 PM, by Greg Laden

And twenty and one half inches long.

The "D" is for Drew (his uncle). Labor was 8.5 hours long, a record for our midwife. In fact, labor was fairly easy. For me anyway.

Everything is fine. Baby pictures a bit later. Thanks everyone for your support and kind thoughts!

Say, is it me, or were you posting about Improv Everywhere less than two hours ago? If I had done something like that when my wife was giving birth to our son, I wouldn't be typing this today.

That's wonderful news! We had our firstborn son in June. Hopefully Sagan and Huxley will have the chance to know each other as they get older. How young can we plug our kids into the interwebz?

There are (at least) 7812 anagrams for Huxley Drew Laden.

Prob'ly right now Ms. L might prefer When Duly Relaxed, but no doubt will appreciate the aptness of Huddle Wee Larynx.

It may take a little longer for HDL himself to appreciate his Deluxe Wry Handle....

You go to your wife, go directly to your wife, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
You volunteer to get up 12 extra times with baby, redeemable upon her request.
You owe it to her for terming labor "fairly easy".
*shoots laser beams with eyes*

That said, YAY!

(High Density Lipoprotein? Well, everybody's gotta be something)

Holy shit, how bloody awesome!!! And I love the name, I really, really do...I am very happy for you and the many fitful nights you have to look forward to over the next several months.

Being an insomniac makes that bit a lot easier. Helps when you have yet to actually get to sleep when the second (and usually last) "feed me" comes up.

Now I must check out the pictures.
