That was an entertaining video, but I don't see what it had to do with IPTables.

Shorewall was invented for a very good reason. Or better yet, use BSD and PF

Hell I have cPanel/WHM on my server so I use ConfigServer Security and Firewall handles IPTables and much more. You don't need cPanel/WHM for it but if you have it it integrates nicely into the WHM GUI and makes life ever so much easier. It will do roughly a 115 point security check and tell you what needs doing (and in most cases how to do it) very nice script.
