Sex-toy study at Duke raises some eyebrows

Posted on: November 6, 2009 6:05 PM, by Greg Laden

A campus religious leader is unhappy about a study at Duke University that invites female students to attend parties where they can buy sex toys....the director of the Duke Catholic Center has lodged a complaint with researchers.

The study has of age female students attend "tupperware style" sex toy parties, and complete a survey before and after. They have IRB approval.

There are so many comments I could make here that would get me into trouble, so I will desist.

'Smatter, Joe Vetter?

Does it put you off
That others get off
On things that you dream are unholy?
And given a chance
For a fleeting romance
You claim to have
Known her quite wholly?

Who is She and who are You
And why should a person give pause
To consider your faults
That are common default
And defy any reasonable cause

You think you are different
But no, you are not.
You're just like the average bloke.
As you see my transgressions as evil
In the mirror I see yours as jokes.

Thanks for trying, Big Guy and won't the studio audience give him a big hand? (on the way out the door).

The parties are actually called Pleasure Parties. I recently started a Sex Toy Website and will be having pleasure parties. These parties are really fun and it helps women have fun and let loose. There is real demonstration performed at these parties (at least not at mine) but they are really fun.

You don't have sex at these partys, so what the problem?
