The following video is NOT from a Home Depot. It is, however, from a Vodka warehouse. But this could happen anywhere with fork lifts. Well, OK, more likely when fork lifts and Vodka are mixed. Which just proves ....

I was unaware that you could bring your pets to Home Depot. Why would anyone bring a pet to Home Depot? Yes, I asked a "why" question. People do the strangest things...

Why should people bring their pets to home depot?
Well, sometime you've got the dog out for a ride and you have to stop at Home Depot. On a hot day, better than leaving it in the car.
Why shouldn't you bring your pet to Home Depot (Inadequate shelving architecture aside)?

Not two weeks ago I saw someone carrying around some toy or otherwise young dog in one hand (sorta tucked under her arm) while browsing the washroom section where they have the tubs displayed. I kid you not.

The large warehouse like supply stores with the stacked in the aisle stock and the forklifts are not safe for the less-sentient.

The world is not safe. Statistically, is Home Depot less safe than the backyard (for a dog)?

Well there's certainly a lower statistical likelihood that Fido will get crushed by a pallet-jack full of vodka, or a falling bathtub for that matter.

There was actually a very interesting conversation that happened a few years back regarding home depot and places like it. Someone's child was crush when a bunch of stuff fell from one of the high shelves, this got publicized, and suddenly a bunch of other cases of children killed and/or injured came out of the woodwork.

You don't see a lot of kids at Home Depot or similar places to begin with. I do recall that about the same time this discussion was going on seeing couple of loose and out of control young boys trying to see how high they could climb on the various stacks of mulch, bagged gravel, soil, etc. in the Home Depot garden section. What they were doing really was quite dangerous, though there were no forklifts around.
I never did ascertain at the time if Home Depots were actually dangerous places.
