Right-wing media have highlighted recent snowfall during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen, often suggesting that the winter storm is evidence that climate change is, in Rush Limbaugh’s words, “a fraud.”

Rush Limbaugh is an uneducated turd; I don’t know why anyone listens to what he says.

I heard that there’s some ice in this place called “Antarctica”. I’ve got ice in my freezer too – proof that global warming is a hoax!

It’s actually very unusual for us to get snow so early in thw winter.

Most winters we have perhaps 2-3 days of snow fall all in all, resulting in the “good” years of snow on the ground for 1-2 weeks.

We had the coldest temperature measured in december for 8 years yesterday -16 celsius.

Not that any of that has anything to with AGW, I’ve just experienced the belief that all of Scandinavia has cold winters.

Yet, in the south-east USA (which is run and dominated by denialists and other crazies) the frequency of winter snowfall is way down from where it was 30 years ago. Enough of a difference that anyone with a few years on them can plainly see it.

It works like this in denialist circles – we all know anecdotal evidence is unacceptable.

When a scientist takes hard data and analyses it, extrapolates from it and developes a theory about it the work is acceptable science.

BUT as soon as that scientist writes something up about the work he/she is telling about it and it all turns into an anecdote which makes it unacceptable.

Shouldn’t these be planned for, say, August in the northern hemisphere? It would lower the stupidity quotient.

When Sen. James Inhofe went to Copenhagen to deny climate change, only a few reporters showed up, but they asked better questions than any reporters in the US:

A reporter asked: “If there’s a hoax, then who’s putting on this hoax, and what’s the motive?”

“It started in the United Nations,” Inhofe said, “and the ones in the United States who really grab ahold of this is the Hollywood elite.”

One reporter asked Inhofe if he was referring to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Another reporter — this one from Der Spiegel — told the senator: “You’re ridiculous.”

global warming is a fraud. Guess what % of co2 emissions is created by humans? 2%!!!!! Yes TWO PERCENT!!!!!! The vast majority comes from nature. Why does noone every talk of that?

And the biggest greenhouse gas is not C02 but methane. It has a 25x larger impact than CO2. And what causes it? Animals’ flatulence!

Back in the 70s it was all talk of global cooling – no kidding: google it yourself – and now it’s global warming! what utter codswallop.

What I don’t understand is how 98% of climatologist who are actually qualified to understand the arguments of altercity haven’t figured out his point? Could it be that liberal bias called scientific evidence? (And here, believe it or not, I’m being sarcastic and wondering why these people insist that reality IS a liberal bias–it’s just reality. Carbon doesn’t give a damn about your politics).

Gosh, give up the science websites altercity, try Fox or something like that. Or, at least try reading climatologist who aren’t on the payroll of the fossil fuels industry.

Nathan Myhrvold’s Anti Global Warming Scheme
    http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2511875/nathan_myhrvolds_anti_global_warming.html

Nathan Myhrvold is a former technology officer for Microsoft who has found his own company, Intellectual Ventures, which is involved in a number of technology development programs, including new forms of energy generation.
Nathan Myhrvold also thinks that he has found a cheap and reliable way to solve global warming, which does not involve upending and perhaps destroying the world’s economy.

true scientists solve the so-called CO2 issue,,,

A German research ship carrying 20 tons of iron sulfate is currently motoring towards the South Atlantic, and the crew plans to dump its mineral cargo into the ocean in a controversial science experiment. The researchers will be testing a technique called ocean fertilization, in which iron is dumped into nutrient-poor waters to induce a huge blooms of phytoplankton. After the photosynthesizing plankton grows and absorbs carbon dioxide, researchers hope it will die and sink down to the seafloor still bearing that greenhouse gas in a natural form of carbon sequestration. Ocean iron fertilization is considered one of the more promising options for global-scale geoengineering, which aims to slow or reverse the effects of climate change caused by man’s burning of fossil fuels. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/80beats/2009/01/12/experiment-trying-to-create-algae-bloom-goes-ahead-despite-enviro-fears/

we could outlaw santa claus and christmas,,, that would go a long way toward reducing your so-called CO2 issues,,,

let me think,,, ummm if the majority of the people in the world truely believe in human caused global warming(AGW),,, then they would voluntarily stop buying manufactured products from anywhere,,, since that is the major sources of CO2,,, plus they would stop having children,,, thus reducing the population and reducing AGW,,,

COPENHAGEN: Population and climate change are intertwined but the population issue has remained a blind spot when countries discuss ways to mitigate climate change and slow down global warming, according to Zhao Baige, vice-minister of National Population and Family Planning Commission of China (NPFPC) .

The real inconvenient truth The whole world needs to adopt China’s one-child policy The “inconvenient truth” overhanging the UN’s Copenhagen conference is not that the climate is warming or cooling, but that humans are overpopulating the world.
