John Birch Society Sponsors Major Conservative Rally

More like this

Opportunist communist sympathizer!!!

First of all, Merry Christmas everybody.

Didn't get to listen to Maddow for the shuffling of computers and no audio presently so instead checked the news feed to see what's up with the Birchers only to find they will co-sponsor the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference. I gather this is the kerfuffle.

And then there was this: » John Birch society back in GOP fold - Blogger News Network which contained:

"Republicans smell blood in the water and they need warm bodies and cold cash as polls proclaim the President and his Party seem to quickly be losing favor with a majority of the electorate that will actually take time to vote in the midterms. I would like to say it is not so, but the disconcerting augury remains, if we held the election tomorrow, the democrats would lose between fifteen and twenty seats and should the trend continue into the spring, summer and fall, cultivating enough seats to win back control of both the house and Senate is not an unrealistic goal to pursue."

Neither an unrealistic goal anymore than a damn possible outcome.

Obama rode into history on the back of Bush hate and an RNC that supposed Palin might gather some of Hillarys jilted while propping up a wobbly McCain within party ranks. Didn't work. Palins divisiveness couple with insane McCains bubbling rage did not a winning combo make. McCain was always iffy but Palin sunk him in my opinion. Of course your mileage may vary and it's all water under the bridge but now the shoe is on the other foot. How happy the electorate will be a year from now and two years after that will hinge on the economy first and foremost which puts Obama and the Democrats between a rock and a very hard place. Given that Limbaugh and company are pushing the Grand Old Party further to the right, Liberal Dems could conceivably come face to face with a mob of Neo-Birchers bearing axe handles and alligator smiles should the electorate vote for change once again.

Applicable in the here and now then to note this John Birch Society having a website with a Harvard boy penning a few words about Global Warming and - The "Science" Mantra.

Next they'll exhume Tail Gunner Joe and have him as their opening speaker.

In the 1960s the John Birch Society claimed 70 to 90 percent of the federal government, including the president, were Communists or Communist sympathizers. So why were anti-Communists like the Birchers allowed to exist, let alone write and speak? Why weren't the Birchers shipped off to the FEMA gulags?

Oh right, it's because their Communist conspiracy existed only in their heads.
