Hanukkah starts tonight, as you probably know. This is the celebration of the Jewish version of Peak Oil. My family will be celebrating Hanukkah Sunday night (though we probably won't go with the newborn) but you can celebrate now by visiting two interesting blog posts and reflecting on their meaning:
White Coat Undeground: Just a bit more on Merry Xmas which is not about Hanukkah but is about the whole holiday greeting thing.
Casaubon's Book: Getting the Story Right: The Peak Oil vs. Climate Change Inanity Continues which is not about Hanukkah but is about peak oil.

And a happy Chanukah ((Hanukkah) to you too Greg. Last night Diane light the candles and we had potato latkes with sour cream and home made apple sauce. Yummy. She tried to get me to eat some gefilte fish but that's a non starter for me :)
