I haven't had a dog for years. Dogs are probably better at reading body language. However, I did have one cat where, if I let the thought, "It's almost time to get out the cat carrier" cross my mind, the cat would immediately slink away and hide.
we have 2 dogs and 3 cats and as much as I think cats are superior to dogs I have to say the ability of a dog in one room completely isolated from the other dog in another room knowing the instant its arch rival is getting petted or a treat (silently I might add) is rather unnerving at times.
Cat wins that one - the dog video was too annoying to watch for very long.
