A small church has collapsed in northeast D.C.

Posted on: February 6, 2010 6:00 PM, by Greg Laden

Officials say no one was inside the Joshua Temple Firstborn Church on Sheriff Road this afternoon when a tree fell onto the roof of the church and the weight of the tree and snow made the roof collapse. source

God is punishing these people for a reason. We just need to figure out why by reference to scripture and historical analysis. Like this.

goddidit.

Of course, there was someone at that church that said something that was a sin so god sent 30 inches of snow to DC and inconvenienced 75 million other people with a blizzard just to knock that tree down on that church.

God acts in mysterious ways. It is not for us to know.

No, you've got it all wrong - God is angry because someone who it NOT a member of that church did something He didn't like, so naturally he punished someone else. Isn't that how other natural disasters are usually explained?

I thought it should be obvious - they're homosexual devil worshippers. Now if they'd only convert to mohammedanism they'd be saved.

God wants them to build a bigger and better church with the hard-earned money of the church-goers. And this is all in preparation for the Rapture, which should be coming soon.

I've long noted that Tornado Alley runs right through the middle of the Babble Belt, thus proving Yahweh's intolerance of bigotry and intolerance.

Oh come on, you know exactly how this one will be played: god performed a miracle by making sure nobody was in the church when it collapsed. Praise be Jeebus!
