Wow, that’s very interesting! When she asked the pop-quiz question I instantly thought “infant” because I know from studying our evolution- we learn from a very early age… I just had no idea it was that early. I like the fact that there was so much pressing evidence to prove that we actually start learning in the womb. From food to sound to the “biological postcards”, it seems as though we learn more in the womb than in any other time period in our life! I think, after this TED talk, the best study we could learn from most would be to see which time period of our lives to we learn the most and the least. I’m betting the nine months before birth because it is in the womb that we shape the elements of our lives.
