This quiz is kinda fun .. what was your score? Which questions did you miss?
I missed one question; How many channels on a VHF TV dial? Since I have never owned a TV, it was easy to miss this question.
I was most surprised that I knew the answer to the paper clip question.

The only one I got wrong was the one about which side of a woman's blouse the buttons are. According to them, it's the right- but that would be correct if viewed from the point of view of someone facing the wearer, not from the POV of the wearer herself- unless the "the opposite of a men's shirt" convention has changed.
It's been a long time since TVs had dials for tuning- the turret and wafer VHF tuner designs died in the '80s- or separate VHF and UHF tuners. That question is really obsolete, since anyone under the age of thirty would have had precious little opportunity to know the answer by actual observation.
I'm old enough (48) to remember that style of tuner, but I got it right because I'm an electronics geek by trade and knew the VHF channel allocation scheme.

I got a few wrong, but I couldn't be bothered to figure out which ones -- which way does a fan turn? I've seen fans that turn both ways. I got the "buttons" question right, from the POV of the wearer, etc. These quizzes are pretty fluffy, but this is one of the more poorly-written ones.
Maybe I wouldn't be complaining if my score was higher... ;-)

This is very US-centric. telephones and TV dials work differently outside the US. Also it's ambiguous - from which perspective do we specify button sides? Also, I got a C, so it can't be a very good quiz.

I got a C- and am pleading american, tv owning, meat eating, dyslexic biases. I meant the other left, really I did. Oh also anti-global learner bias - detail is only important when you know the context. And yes, I am convinced the answer re women's buttons is wrong. They are on the left. You pass the right side over the left. As a knitter I am always double and triple checking this, but buttons are sewn on the left side of cardigans for women. Aren't they? Quadriple, quintriple checks.
Just try being a global thinking dyslexic and being asked that question. Ouch.
