How the Dinosaurs Really Died

tags: , ,

Okay, I couldn't resist sharing this silly video with you all. It's just one of those things that makes you go, Hmmmm.

More like this

the pig is a mammal. pigs are dirty and smelly. but why they chose to use a pig instead of, say, a hamster, or any other mammal is beyond me. perhaps one of my readers has an idea?

Ok, let's try this on for size. Do mammals carry more methanogens in their guts than dinosaurs? If so, the mammals enter the scene, start, uhm, emitting methane, which is several times as potent a greenhouse gas as carbon dipxide. Rising methane levels cause global climate change, creating more violent weather patterns that factor in the dinosaurs' demise. Or something. Otherwise, I suppose that the pig is pretty far-fetched.

I think it's just that pigs are funny. A plasticine hamster wouldn't work as well (and would probably shed plasticine hairs all over the set).
