As everyone in the entire world knows, America is getting ready to elect a president for the first time in nearly 8 years. Of course, this means that we all are quite excited to have our votes counted this time -- really counted, yaknowwhatImean? -- and we are having fun debating the relative merits of the many candidates we have to choose from. It turns out that most of the candidates are also putting in their two-cents' worth on the topic as well, including Homer Simpson [2:20]
Which reason was your most favorite in the list? Mine was "I'm smarter than the last guy".
GrrlScientist is an evolutionary biologist, ornithologist, aviculturist, birder and freelance science and nature writer. A native of the Pacific Northwest, she relocated from Seattle to NYC with her parrots after earning a BS in Microbiology (emphasis in Virology) and PhD in Zoology (Ornithology) from the University of Washington. In NYC, she was the Chapman Postdoctoral Fellow at the American Museum of Natural History for two years, pursuing part of her "dream" research project by reconstructing a molecular phylogeny of the parrots of the South Pacific islands. Hee hee...maybe it escaped your notice at the time, but we had a presidential election less than three years ago. No wonder you guys lost.

Bob - I don't call that an election at all,it was a SHAM! Ohio being one state that didn't get to vote legally with new voting machines that didn't work or weren't calibrated correctly with only a few counties to recount by hand. Diebold promised Bush a win. Vote Fraud in Ohio
