The July issue of Scientific American is avilable for download as a PDF for free. Rats! I get the same error message. I just upgraded to the newest version of Adobe, too! grrrr.

Hi Chardyspal:

Not sure why you are having problems; it downloaded for me at work (Adobe Reader ver 6) and on my laptop (Adobe Acrobat Pro ver 7).

Perhaps the link below and then go to the download following the link in the right hand column near the bottom of the page would allow you to download it.
