Given that pretty much everyone who's interested knows the whole story by now, the only unanswered question is how well that story translates to the new medium. Flashing it all by it so quickly left a real feeling of dissatisfaction in that regard.

I find myself wondering why they didn't offer more substance and less pizazz, especially in this era of Internet, when they could put out longer previews or several short previews covering different things.

It was like they were trying to show a glimpse of everything to tease people to come see the movie when the audience is already made!

People know the HP6. They don't know how good a job the movie-makers have done of translating it to the big screen, and this preview failed dispell that ignorance. They keep talking about the HP series is speaking to a maturing audience, yet offer a preview that isn't mature.

Perhaps there'll be future previews that offer a better perspective.

i did like some parts of the peview and some not. it doesnt tell the portion of the audience that hasnt read the books enough and the one who have puzzeled. hopefully the movie is better than number 5. but of course cant beat the book.

Looks to be an entertaining movie. Special effects, and a great storyline. Hopefully it doesn't stray too far from the book.

Stephen responds:
Not necessarily. Though I've seen a couple of the HP films, it's not something I've been all that interested in. However, this preview does pique my interest quite a bit. I may even go see it in the cinema rather than wait for DVD.
