Choose Your Favorite Scientific Ethics Cartoon

Everyone knows that the White House has been forcing scientists to only talk about research that conforms with GW's agenda, and the political cartoonists have been busily committing these shameful lies to paper in a form that we all can appreciate. One of those cartoons is pictured above. Thanks to a blog pal of mine, now is your opportunity to choose your favorite cartoon in the Union for Concerned Scientists' Scientific Integrity Editorial Cartoon Contest. They have 12 cartoons there for you to choose between -- good luck! I am still trying to figure out which one I want to vote for (the one pictured above is great, except there are no female scientists included -- um, hello?!?). If you've chosen your favorite, I'd sure appreciate hearing which one it was and why you chose it!

Hmm. I guess I should blog it too.

I voted for no. 2. There were several good ones, but I liked the subtlety. As for the lack of women in your choice, I think its because only men would be stupid enough to hang around in a broom cupboard for 8 years. Anyone with any sense would have wandered off to find something more worthwhile to do.

This isn't quite science, and isn't really ethics, but it seems like a rare excuse to share the only cartoon I've ever created. Here's the link:

It could be construed to be taking the side of creationists and other irrationalists (along the lines of: "sure, you don't believe in Gawd, but he's there even so"), but I never intended it that way; it just caught my funny bone and I hope you will enjoy it.

Salut,
I voted for number 9 as to why:
#9 is applicable in any country at any time (like, uh, France for example :) ): it shows it's not just the scientific community who suffers from politics because consequences will effect every single person.

Plus I am rather fond of werewolf ;) eheh

Good luck in ur job search and congrats for ur blog!

I have chosen 8.
I like the paint and the subtletly of it...
