Circus of the Spineless: Seeking Submissions

Topic Categories:
Posted on: March 26, 2009 11:59 AM, by "GrrlScientist"

I know you are sitting there at your computer, cross-eyed, wondering what you are going to do this weekend. Let me make a suggestion: since I am hosting the upcoming issue of the Circus of the Spineless on 6 April, I need your help. If you can write a "translation" of a scientific paper, or an essay, a photoessay .. or poem .. or if you publish a stunning image of a squishy (or crusty) animal living creature that lacks a backbone -- not including American politicians -- on your blog to share with the world, please send the link to me. Also feel free to upload this colorful new badge as you spread the word about this upcoming carnival on your own blogs.

Well, I was going to contribute about some spineless organisms, but if you're going to limit it to animals, well forget it. Please remember, the lack of a character does not define a group. Other than vertebrates, all organisms are spineless. Does anyone detect a pet peeve?

Does algae count? Probably not.

How about Republicans?

I would guess republicans count as "American politicians", despite their best efforts.

DrA -- okay, "animal" was rather presumptuous of me. but remember, i am an ornithologist, so that's just the way my mind works. if you have a submission about ANY SPINELESS CREATURE then please, send it. I refuse to accept submissions about republicans, watches, rocks ..
